Alexander-Arnold holds the record for most assists by a full-back in the competition, while Robertson ranks second, achieving double-digit assists in three separate seasons.
As a key player during Liverpool's successful years under Jurgen Klopp, Robertson has won the hearts of the team's management and fans.
Speaking before the match against Aston Villa, Liverpool's manager, Arne Slot, praised Robertson for his ability to move up and down the flank, referencing the famous clip against Manchester City.
"I think Robertson is the player who transformed the full-back position by constantly moving up and down the flank," Slot said. "That famous press conference against Manchester City showed his mentality and intensity. He consistently played with that same energy, moving up and down the pitch and making a difference on both sides. He's one of the full-backs who changed the position."
Slot also highlighted Robertson's positive influence on the team, stating, "He's a great human being, and I've had the chance to work with him for two years. People see his character in his social media posts. He's been a highly influential player for this club."
As Robertson's contract expires in June, he will leave Liverpool with eight trophies, including two Premier League titles and one Champions League championship, after nine years with the team.
