Conte previously managed the Italian national team from 2014 to 2016, leading them at the Euro 2016 tournament where they were eliminated by Germany in the quarter-finals.
De Laurentiis stated that he would not stand in Conte's way if he were to leave Napoli as long as the team remains stable. If Conte were to ask to return to the national team, De Laurentiis thinks he would agree to it.
However, De Laurentiis believes that Conte is intelligent and would not consider taking on a role at the helm of a disorganized team, and that there have been no serious offers for him to join another club.
With Gennaro Gattuso's resignation as Italy's national team coach, Conte may be a potential candidate to take the role, alongside other contenders such as Massimiliano Allegri and Roberto Mancini.
